I really need to pay attention to this page

Wow, It's been over 2 years since I made a post to this blog, I had grand intentions when I first created it but have just neglected it. I will make an honest effort to try to make a weekly post. I have taken thousands of pictures over these past 2 years and have plenty to share. Like the pictures from a dance competition I was able to attend a few weeks ago in Andover.

I really didn't want to get wet.

Well, I got up nice and early Saturday morning to take some moving water and foliage pictures at Oliver Mills Park in Middleboro planning to stay on dry ground. I got some nice shots but nothing that really inspired me. SO I decided to get off the beaten path and walk off the bridge, through the grass along a stream and I see a tunnel. I look into the tunnel and see a glimmer of light and a stream of water trickling down the tunnel wall. Now I am standing knee deep in freezing cold water in my jeans and sneakers setting up my tripod with my 70-200 and here is the result. This shot was at 200mm f22 15second exposure at ISO 100. I think it was worth it

My favorite Portrait Lens

Right now my favorite Portrait lens is my Sigma 70-200 2.8 Using such a long lens and fast aperture can nicely blur your background and make the picture pop. It doesn't hurt to have such a cute model either.

A New Start

I find myself spending much more time now behind the eyepiece of my Canon 40d always trying to get the shot that make me say wow. Hopefully as I get some I will post them here for you to enjoy, that is if you somehow managed to wander aimlessly to my little oasis, I gave you a card or just invited you here. No matter how you arrived here feel free to comment on a photo. Constructive criticism is always welcome. I will post a few pictures later tonight.
